I am Adriannah Smith, Digital Marketing Student at Minnesota State Community and Technical College + Marketing/Office Assistant & Events Coordinator at Harley-Davidson of Fargo.
Born and raised on the Minnesota/North Dakota Border, I began my love for summer at a very young age. With such severe winters, summer is the time that I thrive! I grew up watching my dad take out his motorcycle every April 30th, watching him get ready for the riding season, and with him taking me on shopping trips Harley-Davidson. The smell of the Harley-Davidson store is still so nostalgic to me. One of my very first photos as a baby, was of my dad holding me on his Harley. Motorcycles & riding season have been engrained in me since before I could walk.
Growing up, I wanted to be anything and do everything. I wanted to be a teacher, a doctor, cashier, dental hygienist, professional motorcycle racer, the list goes on and on. I never truly knew what I wanted to do, in my senior year of high school when I heard about the Digital Marketing program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, it just clicked. I could go into any industry, I wasn't stuck to the medical field, or to retail, etc. I could be in any field I wanted to and still use my degree. This program has been the most perfect fit for me.
Now, I am twenty years old, I graduate in May 2022 and I love what I do! I started at Harley-Davidson of Fargo as the Marketing Intern in May 2021. I planned the 21st Annual Miracle Ride, a benefit for the Children's Miracle Network and Sanford Children's Hospital in West Fargo, ND. I coordinated all of our Full Throttle Fridays, an event we do one Friday a month, May-September, with giveaways, food trucks, bands/musicians, and shopping. I shot most of our social media content on Facebook & Instagram with the guidance of our social media team down in Sioux Falls. Plus SO much more! It was the biggest learning experience of my life. I gained so much confidence in my abilities, and learned a ton of new skills. One of my favorites, how passionate I truly am about marketing.
In September of 2021, I accepted a position at Harley-Davidson of Fargo as their Marketing/Office Assistant + Events Coordinator. It has been the best experience of my entire life. My passion of Marketing + Motorcycles is engrained in me, and it has been since I was just a young child. I cannot wait to see where marketing takes me, what new industries I reach, and how many lives I can touch.
Today, I am working on starting a little bit of a side hustle, Adriannah Smith Marketing Solutions. I am still working out all of the logistics, but I want to help other small businesses get their feet off the ground through marketing. I am nowhere near ready to launch this yet, but I am working very hard to get it there! The future is going to be magical.
XO,
ADRIANNAH
